Bellaire Public Library Michigan Notable Author Visit!

Foodies Rejoice!!
The Bellaire Public Library has been awarded a Michigan Notable Author visit this year!  Authors, Amy Emberling and Frank Carollo, will discuss their new book, "Zingerman's Bakehouse". The book includes 25 years of their best loved recipes from Zingerman's in Ann Arbor Michigan, a true foodie paradise!  The authors will visit the library on Friday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. and will bring food!! 
Books will be available for purchase!  Do not miss this one!!

Movie Night

The F.O.L. host Movie Night @ the Bellaire Library on Tuesday, March 27th at 6:30 p.m.  Start out at Short's Brewery @ 5 p.m. then head down to the library for: "Dr. Strangelove" starring Peter Sellers and George C. Scott.  Rated PG 105 minutes.  Popcorn too!

Leland James and Christine Williams

Leland will read poetry and Christine will provide the musical interpretation.

Leland James is the author of six books and poetry and a book on poetry craft.  HIs poems have been published in the journals and magazines worldwide, including The Lyric, Rattle, the South Carolina Review, New Millennium Writings, HQ the Haiku Quarterly, London Magazine.  He was the winner of the UK's prestigious Aesthetica Creative Writing Award and has won or received honors in many other competitions.  Leland has been a featured poet in American Life in Poetry and was recently nominated for a Push Cart Prize.

Christine Williams, director of the Family String Studio, and co-founder of Traverse Community Music, received a B.A. in Music from Western Michigan University and a Master's degree from Grand Valley State University in gifted education.  She is a Suzuki trained instructor in both cello and violin.  Christine served as a mentor for the Traverse City Civic Chamber Strings and Summer Band Program.  She has performed as a member of the Battle Creek Symphony, and the Benzie Symphony, as well as numerous fiddle bands.
